I am having a similar issue with Flash.
I have uninstalled the older version with an uninstaller, I have erased the macromedia folder from my windows program files, I have ran the recommended windows fix for permission problems, I have re-booted, re-installed until I was blue in the face. I keeo getting error 19166 from Adobe, I followed there protocol to no avail. Please help. I have done every possible suggestion given on the Adobe technical support page.
I am lost and need a flash player for website I use professionally.
Any help would be great.
I am in the same position. I have done everything you said and more.
I know that the install stops at the point where the software is trying to register flash9focx.
I also use a web site professionally that requires Flash.
