Sony Vaio black screen only cursour shows

I start my laptop sony vaio the logo vaio appears than I insert my password then it disappears into black screen. I don't know what im going to do I tried everything .. pulled the battery out and pressed f8 and tried everything. please help me I hope I didn't lost my files I have so many files saved please help and one more thing my instructions of my laptop are in Italian

Is this the Windows logon that you type the password into?
