Dvd-RW showing as Cd-Rom

Hello,
i have a dvdrw drive that burns dvds perfectly. only problem is once i pop a non blank dvd into the drive it reads it as a blank. i have tested the burned dvds in other pc's and it works. Any dvd in that drive is read as blank.....any suggestions as to what could cause this?

Try cleaning the lens.
