Whenever I turn on my Toshiba, it says no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key. I tried going to both the F2 and F12 menus I can get to them, but only the F keys, esc, zero key, and enter key appear to be working in those menus; I tried holding down the esc key while turning the computer on; I tried holding down the zero key while turning the computer on; I tried tapping F8 during the start up; I tried removing the battery; nothing seems to work. Please help!!!
Thank you for trying to help, but yes I've tried the 0 key method and it's still showing the same black screen that says "no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". I don't think the laptop is still under warranty as I've had it for at least 4 years. Do you think it may still be under warranty and do you know where I can get a new hard disk and how much they normally cost?
Hello,
you may need to consult with a technician to solve this issue....
see what he/she saying...
If the technician finished at low cost you dont need to buy a hard disk...
