Hey happy. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your drive. Do you hear any unusual sounds/noises coming from the drive? I'd recommend that you try it with a different USB cable (not longer than 12") and a different computer to see if the same thing happens. If you want to recover data from that drive, I'd suggest that you try accessing it via Linux Live CD/USB to see if it's recognized properly and if you can retrieve your data. You could also try some of the data recovery options from this thread here: https://www.tomshardware.com/
