Good afternoon my friends!

I have an issue with my Windows 7 operating system. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Everytime I start my PC, it boots up just fine, but I always end up with a black screen. Often times to resolve the issue ( other than just keeping the computer on ) I sometimes use F8 and start in "safe mode" with networking, then use "Logoff" and then restart. I then get my login screen. I should also add that I previously had Vista and had the same issue with that OS also. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you very much
jzipwiz.
P.S.- I also use some other methods that resolve the issue, but obviously this is only a temporary fix.

It's not software if you have the issue with two version of Windows.

So it must be hardware. If it's a desktop PC then it should be possible to replace the video card.

Good luck

Thank you xpcman,
I had a friend at work install Windows 7 and
I bought a "Radeon" HD which he installed. So your thoughts about a new Video Card sounds correct.

Many Thanks,

You might try to remove the video card and re-insert it. It might just be a bad connection.
