My laptop screen keeps flickering

First of all it takes a long time to load and after it loads, it starts flickering, Specificity the icons on my desktop come and go. Thank you for your help .

It appears that your video chip and/or video circuits on the motherboard are failing. Unless the laptop is still under warranty it's probably not economical to have it fixed. Since a fix probably requires a motherboard replacement.
