No desk top icons

Hello,
Please can someone help, I turn on my computer and there are no icons. Task bar is there and can right click to get into Firefox that is it. I tried right click on desktop and nothing happens (no drop down menu that has show desktop icons comes up). I pressed control alt del for task manager, that comes up. Have typed explorer.com and nothing. Am at my wits end don't know what else to do.

Hi Kazza,

Try running an anti-virus program. If your normal one doesnt work try an on-line (free) one (Panda ActiveScan is quite good). Also Malwarebytes can help in these situations. if it wont run normally try the chameleon version.
