use the matshita since 4 years now. but since a cup of weeks I get problem burning cd. it always ask me : insert a dvd, but I want to burn a cd.....? the driver is updated. I did not change any thing...what can I do

I suggest you clean the CD Recorder lens.

thanks Ambucias, but I tried everything, cleaning, spraying etc.... I wanted to burn a music cd with nero, which worked perfectly until 2 months a go. In between I use it to burn some dvds with freemake which also worked perfectly. but now... its a trip...

There could be a bug with Freemake. Delete it and see.
