use end of month formula
Suppose you enter 1st June 2015 as
6/1/15
in my computer I have to enter date as month/date/year
in some computers it is date/month/year.
for you check control panel-region and language, format and see for short date.
then in A2 type the formla
=DAY(EOMONTH(A1,0))
format A2 as number with no decimals.
