                    Hello robi2015,
Have you tried testing your HDD with its drive manufacturer software for S.M.A.R.T. test? It might have got saturated or needing defragmentation. You can perform the following steps>
When connected as an external on the other PC, open the command prompt console and enter CHKDSK X: /R
Please, make sure to replace the letter X with the corresponding one that your PC has given to your external HDD.
Once you have done the tests, please come back and share the results.
