Computer dead

Hello,
I have 19 volts at the exit of my charger where it connects to laptop . I have no indication lights whatsoever for about an hour when I then get a 5 flashing light in repetitive groups of three. It appears to be the A/C light flashing. The screen remains blank when I press the start button and the computer appears totally dead.
I tried removing the battery same result I tried removing A/C and battery pressing and holding start for 45 secs no result . Can anyone please help me ?

What are the hardware details like make and model?

First let me thank you for your reply and interest both are greatly appreciated. The laptop is a Dell XPS L502x with an intel core i7 processor running windows 7 home premium
