My ipod Gen 4 or 5

Hello,
My pod got really hot and won't turn back on. Nothing happens when i plug it back in, my pc doesn't recognize it. im using a new lightning cable too. I tried holding the 2 buttons but nothing appears, when i plug it in it just gets Hot. I can really use your HELP please...

This is just Apples way of saying you have not sent them any money lately. Do you live near an Apple retail store that can diagnose the problem?
