Wifi won't scan and add network

Hi guys, hope you can help me. I'm having a problem with my Samsung gt-s7562 with it's wifi connection. My wifi turns on if I turn it on however it won't scan and add any network. I tried manually adding a network but it would only states that it's not in range, when it fact I'm beside our modem. I thought that the wifi connection is weak but no because I tried also my other iPhone 3G to connect and it did. I don't know what's wrong. Please help me. Thanks.

did you try to connect to a public wifi Hotspot?
