Hello,

I recently purchased a wireless D-Link USB. I have installed this and it seems to be working fine. However when I attempt to connect to my home network (which uses a D-Link DIR-615 router, which does work properly because we connect wirelessly with our laptops), it allows me to connect to the router but not t o the internet.

Ay ideas why?

Is there a security WEP key to be added to your wifi configuration on your laptop? if you insert the wrong wep key you will never get access to the internet

If you can connect to ur access point modem( I mean u get an IP like 192.168.1.8)
but u don't have internet access, you should check ur lap top IP and comparison with ur pc IP,if they are like each other(in same range of IP) you should check ur access point modem, maybe there is some kind of mac address filtering.
