Hello,
My aunt gave me a compaq laptop not to long ago which hasnt been used in a while cause we need new charger, when I turned it on today I realised we dont know the password, are we able to restore it to factory settings to wipe the password ? We dont care about any of the data on it we just want to restore it ! Someone help !

Sometimes pressing the F10 or F11 key at startup will boot you to the Recovery partition.
