Cannot connect

I reset my desktop emachine xp to the factory settings and now i cannot connect to the internet at all.
can any one help?

older computer and i thought it might help it ruin better if i set it back to the original factroy settings. thought it might clear all the junk... yea screwed it up i know. can you help?

ok so it is Service pack 3?

If so, hit windows key and R. type CMD

Type in IPCONFIG /all

Let me know what the response is (in short)

How far back did you restore it? Why did you restore it? The restore may not have been the fix...we need more information, please.

OF COURSE! We can help!

The issue here is how far back, did you restore it? If it went back to factory and you booted and restored from the recovery partition, then it is pretty much toast!

Now, if you only did a recovery from a previous known date, that is different. Do this....right click on "my COmputer". Then click on properties. Let us know if it looks like this..........:


If it says Service Pack 1, then it is TOAST!
