Local disc not showing up

Hello,
my local disc E had gone missing. I was trying to birn a cd and it asked me to format local disc E. And so I did. But it said it wasnt able to complete the format or sometjing. Now, everytime I insert a disc, local disc E wont show up and the disc wont play. How can i restore it

Insert a disc means for Hard disk or flash drive or external Hard disk?

Hi Sam,
It is really strange that you were asked to format the local drive while you were trying to burn a CD. Could you send us a screenshot from your Disk Management screen? Change the motherboard port of the hard drive and try again.
