Hello,
My Dell Inspiron is pretty old and has started breaking down. At first it wouldn't turn on at all and then it was fixed and I was told to only use it either with the battery and no power source or take the battery out and use a charger. And that worked for a while but now even with the charger and no battery it isn't turning on. No couple seconds of fan or backlight, nothing. Please help.

Replacement is the best option. Perhaps the hard disk can be removed and use with a USB adapter.
Good luck
