Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem on my Compaq Laptop.
I dropped it but managed to get my foot underneath it. However, although it works fine. I have a split screen display along with a flickering narrow 1/2in white band about 3/4 along the screen which scrolls very fast down the screen. The screen on the left only shows about 3/4 of a full screen so some of the task bar icons are missing. The bit of screen on the right shows an exact copy (duplicate) of the one on the left but only about 1/4 of it.
Would like to know if there is a fix or is it terminal?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Try this 1
1) Connect your laptop to an external monitor to your laptop and check the
display. Just look for the VGA connector (there will be a monitor symbol) in
your laptop and connect it to the external monitor then switch ON your
laptop.
Note: If you failed to get the display on the external monitor, then use the
proper combination keys (like Fn+F5/ the function key that has the monitor
symbol on it) to toggle between your laptop screen and the external
monitor.
2) If you able to get a proper display then a laptop's screen replacement
might be required. Approach to your nearest service center and let them
have a look at your issue.
Good Luck
