Actually, bypass microsoft, and go to your ISP. Every ISP is going to have a different setting for each mail server. You need to search the settings on your ISP site for direction.
Like for example,. this is where you would find comcast settings:
https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email
if, you had comcast :)
