Pen drive is not working

Hello,
i want an urgent help.. i got 2gb pen drive.. till feb'2009.. my pen drive was working to my pc.. recently wen i used it didnt worked..its warranty date is for 2yrs and its not yet 1yr completed..

wen i click on drive disk i get an error saying "please insert disk in drve disk"
wen i use format option the same errors comes..

but wen i go for its properties in hardware option.. it shows the device status as:: the device is properly working"
wat would be the problem is anything wrong with pen drive or with my hardware system

i hav my important programme in it.. and i need it urgently

plzz give me help what to do.. and how to get back my programmes...
