Hey there, CHHOTU1.
Try the pen drive with a different computer/device and try reformatting it again to see if you'll get the same error. If that doesn't help, you should give this tutorial a try: https://ccm.net/faq/33935-how-to-format-a-write-protected-usb-flash-disk
Another option would be to try out the USB flash drive manufacturer's format tool/utility, to see if reformatting the pen drive with it will fix things up.

Well, some flash drives and memory cards have something like a really small switch, which enables write protection, but if that's not the case and if none of the aforementioned suggestions work for you, then I guess the flash drive might have failed. If it's still under warranty you could try to get it replaced by the reseller or manufacturer you got it from.
