Is winxp sp2 64bit compatible with core 2

Respected Sir,
I have send this mail to you to get some information about memory slot of my PC.I have installed 3 RAMs of 2GB in each slot and I've checked my configuration but it shows only 4GB of RAM,I've checked all the slots of my motherboard but it shows 4gb of ram.But when I've checked in CMOS setting, it shows all the RAM of 2GB has been installed.So,plz reply me what is the problem in my PC, I'm sernding you my PC configuration
MotherBoard : Intel Classic Series DG35EC [E29266-205]
Q6600 2.4GHZ 8MB DUAL CORE Microprocessor(BX80562Q6600)
RAM DDR-800 Transcend(128M*8/DDR2800/5-5-5)*3
HDD Seagate 500 GB
DVD Writer

yes you can use windows xp sp2 64 bit on your machine.. Its better to have 4Gb of ram
