Hello, my computer just installed an update and when it came back everything in my documents and my pictures was gone. I don't have a virus I ran a virus scan. And it takes away my desktop background too. It also takes away my browsing history on my computer, and bookmarks. Almost like i bought a new computer, but everything I downloaded has stayed there. What can I do to stop this from happening?

hi,
try to do a system restore to restore your computer to the date when the problem was not yet encountered.
>start
>all programs
>accessories
>system tools
>system restore
select the date from the "calendar" of the wizard, then follow the instructions.
you will need to restart your computer then.

Yeah, I tried that and it didn't do anything. It said that the restore system didn't run correctly for some reason. I did everything you told me to do. So any other suggestions?
