Hello,
I want to count the response to applications made to different organisations between set dates.

In column C i use a simple 1 or 0 to indicate whether an application has been made.

In column D i insert the date.

In column K i use 'Successful', 'Unsuccessful', or 'Pending' to show the result of that application.

When an application was successful, in column M i record the amount of money received from that application.

Now, I want to work out on another sheet in the workbook:

- how many applications were made between, 01/07/14 - 30/06/15 (British dates dd/mm/yy)

- how many of the above were successful, how many were unsuccessful, and how many are still pending

- how much money was raised during this period.

Then I want to do the same for the next financial year:

- how many applications were made between, 01/07/15 - 30/06/16

- how many of the above were successful, how many were unsuccessful, and how many are still pending.

- how much money was raised during this period.

I am afraid this is way beyond my normal excel knowledge and would appreciate your help.

Many thanks!!!

Hi Zohaib

Thank you so much for your reply. I looked at the pivot table, but sadly it didn't make any sense to me : (
