I have an external HDD which I initially used to run my windows 8.1, I later changed it to saving of files but without formatting the drive. After saving some files from someone's system earlier today, my external HDD is now showing inaccessible and corrupted and unreadable. When I tried the CHKDSK command in the command prompt. The error message is unable to determine volume and state chkdsk aborted. Please I need help because I have lots of unpublished work in the drive.
