FREEZE WHEN STARTUP

Hello,
OK SO i got a laptop and a desktop (big computer)
i start it up then login go to start or click on a program and it freezes and wont go away it just stays like that even befor i type my password in to log on if i wait it will freeze then plz help me

Just do a system restore of your system

Start your pc and press F8 then select safe mode

A system restore will appear. then choose a date when your pc was workin fine

When you finish doing system restore , restart your pc normally

well it didn't work at the start i cant choose what thing i want like safe mode wont let me pick it to do system restore but i re booted it and it did a system restore then it still didn't work then i re boot and now every time i type my pass in the login the screen goes black and thats it!
