Hi,

I have a sony vaio pcv-rs502 pc with 2gb ddr ram, 512mb agp graphics card, 160gb hard drive.

I would like to upgrade my onboard soundcard to a better soundcard for music production.

what is my best option?. I have two spare ilink s400 connections. one at the front and one at the back.

I dont have a spare ethernet port.

I have a spare pci slot.

I have spare usb ports. But dont know if i have usb 1.1 or usb 2.0.

Should i go for a pci soundcard........, or ilink s400 soundcard - havent found any by searching...
or external usb 2.0 soundcard - i dont know if i have usb 1.1 or usb 2.0.

Thanks

Option 3 - get a PCI sound card. "SoundBlaster" cards are good. Try to buy one with a good return policy - you may have compatibility problems with the Sony. Good Luck
