Format my pc

Hello,my pc does not work and i want to format it and install windows xp sp2
but, when i boot the cd after some searches the windows cd installation said that i may not have a scsi or harddisc. but i have it.
my pc is acer intel dual core 2.2 GHz 3GB of RAM
i think that this kind of pc has not a traditional installation like other pc and my friends have told me that this new kind of pc has another way to install windows but i did not know this way. so please help me with your ideas
my pc is acer aspire 5920.

hi,
you need to configure your BIOS frist.
set it to boot from CD first.
