Hello,
I am having a problem with installing Windows XP SP3 Pro onto a ASUS Motherboard A7V8X-LA. I boot from the Windows XP CD Disk and it starts loading the files. The problem occurs after the installation gets past the first starting windows message at the bottom of the screen and the first bar across the middle of the screen and it starts loading files shown in bar form also across the middle of the screen. After somewhere between 7 - 15% I get the Blue Screen of Death. The message it gives is as follows:
Line one is "Setupdd.sys-Pager Fault In Nonpaged Area"
Next line is "Stop:0X00000050 (0XE26C2932, 0X00000000, 0XF7529D7A, 0X00000002)"
Next line is "Setupdd.sys - Address F7529D7A base at F74D5000, Datestamp 48025277"
I have also tried installing Windows 98SE which installs Ok. Then trying to upgrade to Windows XP SP3 Pro using a Windows XP upgrade CD Disk. Here at the same point I also get the same Blue Screen of Death. Although the error message may be a little different, not sure.

Any help would be deeply appreciated!!

Hi

What you are trying to do will never work, at least the way you are doing it.

You must first install XP, then XP Sp2 and last XP sp3.

The XP files which you have installed must be removed including from the registry.

Good luck
