Hi

my asus S400CA is out of warranty. Its dead. No post. Only wifi and power lights immediately turn on after pressing power button.

Please let me know why wifi and power lights immediately turn on after i press power button.

I understand that bios is corrupted and i would like to reset it. Please let me know the procedure. Is it like we normally reset by taking out coin cell and reinserting back after a minute? Will it reload default value automatically?

Don't know for the wifi, maybe because it it is a quite independent hardware from other important stuffs in the computer.

As for resetting the BIOS you can foind numerous howto on the web, like this one:

Thanks for your reply and help.

Wifi light turning on could mean bios related issue. F2 key and wifi symbol are on same key. So perhaps it is a way to tell the error.... I don't know if I am right.....

My only concern now is: is it safe to removr coin and reset bios? Will it load defaults automatically or not. Or does it require special tools to program bios...?
