Sony pendrive - Error message : Please insert a disk into d

My PC detects my 16gb Sony pendrive, but when I try to access the device, the following message is displayed:
'Please insert a disk into drive d:'

I already tried to format the device, but it won't do. So are there any solution to repair my device.

Hello gowrikumar,

Try to format your drive by using diskpart command; I believe it will help you out. Thanks!!

Hi thanks for your suggestion. I've tried diskpart command but when I list the disks it shows my pemdrive disk has no media and when I try cleaning the disk it shows 'virtual disk service error: there is no media in the device.'. Is there anything I could do beyond this? Thank you..

Your pen drive is damaged and they cannot be repaired. Sorry
