Could you check if the keyboard is working normally before booting in Windows? Try to access the BIOS menu. If it is not possible, there may be a hardware issue with the keyboard or a cable problem. Could you tell if the screen going to black is a screen saver or it is more like the PC is freezing? When the mouse and the keyboard are not working, the result can be almost the same. My advice is to contact a technician and ask for assistance. If the issue is cable related, it should be easy to solve.
