In "C" Colum is percentage or mark. B2*100/ full mark 600
Why should we need percentage? Because need a short data not a 200,300,367marks of data. So there for we convert marks in % . After convert to % we need It's division like 1st,2nd,3rd. So we want that if a boy gets 500marks then it's percentage is 500*100/Fullmark 600 then it is 82%mark. Now it is the question is how could we put a formula that this boys mark display Best ? And other one Good and Poor/Fall.
Plz provide It's easiest way in Ms Excel.
That formula was remember by me but not now !

Which field do you intend to compare?
B2 or C2?

biky@7, Good morning.

If in column C are percentage values, you must format it as a percentage for the formula to work.

But if in column C are values you want to know what percentage are of the values in B then use this other formula:

=IF(C2>(B2*50%), "Best", IF(C2>(B2*40%), "Good", IF(C2>(B2*30%),"Poor", "Fall")))

Is that what you want?
I hope it helps.

bicky@7,

The issue has no difficulty.

But, you have to clarify for us what kind of data is in column C.

If in column C, the data is a number, in the formula you can not use the % sign in the comparison.

If you want column C to be percent, then you must format it as a percentage.
