Hi Lionel,
Are you sure the laptop is getting enough power? Can you hear some noises coming from the PC or it is acting as if it is not switched on. Unfortunately having the LEDS on cannot guarantee us that the PC is properly supplied. Trying the power reset was a really good idea. Is the laptop under warranty? If it is, I would advise you to seek assistance from a technician. There may be some model specific troubleshooting that can easily solve the issue.
