Backspace not working in YouTube

So I recently noticed that I cannot use my backspace button on the YouTube site on PC. I also cannot click the video to pause, I have to click the play button instead. I'm not sure if I did something wrong to mess it up or my laptop just needs to get fixed. Please help.

It's not the laptop need a fix but the browser.
On which browser are you having this problem?
Have you tried using another browser?
Are you using extensions on your browser?
Maybe it's some kind of FN button problem try FN+spacebar.
First of all try disabling the extensions which may cause it.
Than try another browser to see if problem persists.
If nothing happens check youtube faqs to see if there's a solution.
