Samsung Galaxy S5 vs S6 hot keys

what happened to my hot keys? I could save paragraphs of text on my S5 but on the S6 the only thing I see is text shortcuts which has a very limited number of characters?

I just spent 25 mins on the phone with a Samsung tech support person who ended the call by telling me to go to Best Buy !!

I'm really hoping you can help me. I run a business on this phone and rely on the hot keys to text lots of info that I would say over and over again.
