Hello,

My colleague and I are having a heated debate about USBs and how when they are used interchangeably between Mac and PC, the PC will inevitably report that the USB has a virus.

She says this is not possible, but I have seen it many times ... has anybody else experienced this?

The virus report in this case will be a false positive. Windows and Mac are not compatible.

Using the same usb drive for different system is not advised.

Thank you for your reply, does that mean you have come across this problem before?

I would have to agree with @ambucias, these two devices are not compatible so it won't work. Similar to iOS and android.

You need not to find other people, just reproduce the error yourself. Of course you will need the very same antivirus software that will scan and detect the Mac files as a virus.
