Hello,
I successfully networked my 2 PCs following the instructions on this site, took a bit of time configuring the firewalls, but eventually all worked well. I then tried to add in my OHs laptop and things not going so well with that. We are all running XP, but the only difference I can see is that the laptop has a static IP and the 2 PCs don't. The PCs start 192.168 and the laptop 10.0.0 and also has different default gateway, is this the problem?

They do all ping each other and after downloading Network Magic they all show, but folders shared before installation on the laptop don't show and the one we did share opened on one PC and not the other, the error suggesting firewall problem, but they are all configured the same. AVG firewall.

Hoping someone may be able to help, thanks in advance.

Hey Youngros,

The laptop's IP would most likely have to be on the same subnet as the other two PCs (they should both be on 192.168.x.x). Have you tried removing the static IP and gateway, because yes, this is probably your issue!

Let me know,

Asten
