Excell 07 formating

Hello,
I have created a budget in excell 07. I want to put a "check mark" in cell "a1" and have it turn cell b1 thru b5 yellow. Can you help? thank you!

Dear Sir,

Firstly select the cell and then getting to the Font options, start the character map. You will hence be able to

check mark it. By copying and pasting it in the cell, you will have solved your problem.
