The problem is occurring on a HP DV2000 laptop. When it is powered up the display remains blank (but still back lit). I have attached a monitor through the 15 pin video connection as well as through the HDMI, both give off no signal.
However the computer seems to be working normally. Both the HDD and the disc drive are spinning. I can hear the windows start up sound and I can log in through my fingerprint reader. Yet the display shows nothing.
I read about pulling the power and battery and then holding the power button down for 60 seconds then try restarting...doesn't work.
