Please check whether the 15 pin monitor cable is well plugged. Consider unplugging it and plugging it back. If this doesn't solve the matter, it should be that the graphic card is messing up.

I have the same problem mate . please let me know if you sort yers out. Actually im a hardware technician . the problem in your machine is either, monitor(not likelly because it flickers and beleive it or not this is a good thing here) , or flat (vga) cable or on board grafics card. plug a a cable to a monitor and hit Fn+F4 is the image comes out right is most definetly the tiny cable . that is the problem on mine . the basterd of luck is that the whole screen is worth 100 quid and just that tiny cable I cant find it anywhere . only on ibay for 50 quid . its ridiculous. let me know if you got sorted
