Hello,
I have also HP Pavillion dv5-1120ev. MY pC worked well almost for more than an year but suddenly the screen started flickering just like some mobile phone signals near CRT monitor interept the display. I started to change the position/angle of the screen that worked well but for that day only. now situation has gone worst and it never get stable on any of the positions/angles unless I slightly press the back of the screen. it again starts flickering when I stop tapping the back of LCD.
some one else told me that reason might be dead sensors behind the LCD but it doesn't seem logical coz pressing the back of LCD makes the screen stable. and if sensors are dead it should never get stable...I think that I understand is it may be just a dry solder issue....pls some one help me out on this issue if any one can do..

This sounds like a defective cable between the screen and the motherboard. You will need to have the cable replaced by a trained technician.

Good Luck
