Hello,

Hi Folks, I have a 5 year old DELL XPS 200 which has worked well. Lately though after only 3 to 5 minutes it very gracefully logs out, installs updates and then powers down. It then proceeds to act like someones finger is on the reset button, cylcing power and never quite powering up again. It sits there in this reset mode such that I have to literally pull the power cord to stop the behavior. I changed out the MB battery and added some CPU grease for heat dissipation but nothing works.... Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for the tip. This did not originally fix my problem however I noticed the PC would not shut down if I never went to the internet or check mail so I started poking around. I found I had NOT disabled my Hard Wired LAN connection when I went back to wireless. After disabling the LAN connection things work perfectly now!!! Yeh!

Thanks!
