My router just stopped working yesterday for no reason that I can discern. I had been using it wirelessly for both my MacBook and my iPod Touch. I noticed that the wireless feature was not working, so...
I tried disconnecting the power cord for a minute to cause a reset. Plugged it back in and still didn't work.
I tried reseting the modem, then after it was reset...reseting the router (with the power technique).
I tried using the RESET button.
Nothing seems to work. The power light is solid, WAN light is solid, Internet light is mostly solid with some flickering (when plugged in).
I tried plugging an ethernet cable into all 4 of the positions on the router to my mac...and the corresponding router light came on, but no internet on the computer. So the lights all look correct, but neither the wireless nor the wire options work. Is it just time to get a new router?? or is there some other option I should try??
