Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, just over a year old. Last week my power cord developed a bubble in it and since I didn't realize it wasn't charging, my battery died. I opened the cord and saw it had fried from the inside out. I got a new adapter and fully charged my battery, but I still cant move my computer without the power supply shorting off (ie: WITH the battery, it moves to charging mode, WITHOUT the battery, it turns off). It sounds like a short, but I know its not in the brand new power cord. Any ideas?

Hi there,

I dont think this is related to the adapter but directly to the battery,if you have a friend having same model of laptop ,try his battery on yours or take to a computer shop and try new one before purchasing.

Thanjks
