My 8gb pendrive is not displaying

Hello,
my 8gb pendrive is not displaying when i attach it to my computer then msg displayed that the device is unrecognised and malfunctioning ihad purchase it just 1yr and 2/3 months before. i dont know what to do guides please help me.

Dear Sir,

Please check whether you need to get the drives updated in the Device Manager and hence get free of the trouble by updating it.
