Black screen

Hello,
I have a hp dv5000 i turn it on all the lights come on i can hear the fan hard drive light
blinks when dvd drive is inserted but the screen is black i tried to hook a external monitor to it and its also black when i got it there was no cmos battery i ordered a battery but still black screen on both internal and external monitors please help

Hello,

Try this 1

Remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try another

slot. Check you RAM also. Even bad RAM will result in display problem.
