Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D.
Possibly my hard drive has crashed.
I took out and put into an external enclosure and hooked it up to my HP laptop...it reads the drive but asks me do I want to format? I don't because I have all of my data on the drive within the enclosure. When I go into Disk Management...it shows up as drive H and that it is healthy and that it is a RAW and not NTFS. How do I get my HP to read the drive in the enclosure without formatting because I want to copy any salvageable files off of the drive in the enclosure onto my HP?
Thank You VERY MUCH for all of your help in advance! :)
Brian N.

I suggest a professional file recovery program from one of these vendors:

http://www.file-recovery.net/order.htm this is the cheapest for the personal edition

http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm

Good Luck
